I don’t know about you, but I have gambled in a lot of unique and interesting places. I’ve played poker in massive casinos, shady roadside card rooms, and on gambling riverboats that travel up and down the Mississippi River.

But I’ve never played poker on a train before, and I may yet have that opportunity if a proposal in the U.S. State of Missouri passes.

According to news reports, There are 15 proposals for a new casino in Missouri, including one thay involves putting the casino on rails.

Train coaches would be specially outfitted with casino equipment and would be pulled behind Amtrak trains between St. Louis and Kansas City.

Proponents of this “gambling train”, as it were, argue that the casino would boost tourism, help Amtrak and spread the revenue made from the casino around the state.

I can’t say for sure whether this gambling train idea would be a money maker in the long run, but I can tell you that personally I love it. I would certainly ride this train between St. Louis and Kansas City and play online poker, visit the saloon car, and watch the passing countryside. This all has a very old west feel to it, and I for one love it. Let’s make the gambling train happen. This certainly beats online poker.
